I bought it for my 5 yr old son. It is now his Dad's favorite gift of this holiday season. We love all of the small robots in this series. They are a bit advanced for a 5 yr old, but he plays only with supervision and we encourage him to be extremely gentle with the toy. We plan to collect more of them we have Kritter and the sparkling one so far. Ze car will likely be next. Highly recommended for boys aged 5 'till whenever.

I first bought a critter wind-up gear box from a funky NY city store. It was a gift for a 60 year old executive. He loved it as did my three kids (7, 4, and 2 years old). I am so happy that I found them again on Fat Brain Toys. I ordered more for gifts for my sons' friends, and for their grandpa. It really is fun for all ages. It is so nice to pull a toy right out of its box and have it working in seconds! I hope Fat Brain Toys starts to carry more of this line!
