I found the product to be extremely user-friendly. We commenced this unit of study by watching David Macauley's DVD 'Building Big Bridges'. There was a great introductory activity at the end. The kids broke into groups during the next session and designed/created/tested their models of straws and straight pins. I have 6 dads working on the six different types of bridges over a period of 3 sessions (1 hour each). They are all using the general information on principles and components in the beginning of the Teacher's Guide, then utilizing information provided in each particular section. I am staying out of their way, filling in as necessary. The guides format, content and organization allow this unit to practically run itself!
