Stuck on Shakespeare

WE WANT MORE! I teach 8th grade and we just finished 8 weeks of Romeo and Juliet. I just put "his" words up on the whiteboard with the notice "Still Stuck on Shakespeare". Everyday period now features new lines and interpretations. Dagger is missing, much to the disappointment of my Juliets, so they just write the missing words in. "Methinks" is still the favorite magnet. Students request more for "insults" and specifically from R and J (ie, dagger, name, Queen Mab, rose, lover, wings, sun).

I had an old set of Magnetic Poetry Shakespeare that I brought into my classroom last year and stuck all the words to one of the filing cabinets in my office. My high school students soon discovered them and gleefully began creating whimsical sayings. I just ordered and received two more sets - one more for my students (one set is not enough, apparently) and one as a stocking stuffer for my college student daughter. I find these sets provide my students with mental challenges, humor, and opportunities to become familiar with a different concept of the English language. They compete with each other and ask me questions about definitions and sentence structure. What could possibly be better?

My husband and I thoroughly enjoy our "refrigerator poetry" and this product has opened up myriads of new possibilities. This is a great expansion pack and provides fun options for those wishing to add a bit of Shakespearean spice to their refrigerator ramblings.
