I purchased this puzzle for one of my grandchildren because I had seen one of my other grandkids using it and it was well constructed and beautiful.

I am a little frustrated in the 40 piece set, there were only 8 of the biggest block. I think we need more of that size.

What a nice puzzle. My 2 1/2 year old enjoys dumping all the pieces out in a pile and trying them in spaces until he gets a fit. The empty space for each puzzle piece shows the same picture as the one on the piece. Eventually, as my son gets older, I will blacken out the picture in the space so that the puzzle is more challenging. This is a good quality, colorful, well-made wooden puzzle with creative ways of depicting each animal on the pieces. I choose wooden puzzles for their weight and substance, which I feel is essential for toddler development. These pieces are somewhat thin, so they really are for an older toddler with more advanced grasping skills. Overall, I recommend this puzzle!
