I bought one of these in a store as a gift for a 2 1/2 year old of a friend of mone. The little girl loved it. She sat right down and started figuring it out. It was hard, especially the triangles, but not that hard and she spent quite some time with it.
So I ordered one for my granddaughter who is the same age. She is a more action oriented individual, though she likes handle puzzles. She had no interest in this toy. I put it away for later. I am sure she will.

My son loves this pattern set. The puzzle boards are all double sided, which is a huge plus! Perfect for teaching shapes and colors too. The construction is sturdy- will last forever.

I purchased the Beginner Pattern Blocks for my 20 month old granddaughter. Her mother reports that she is playing with the pattern blocks and discovering for herself which block goes where. The wooden material is standing up to toddler frustration (throwing). This purchase was selected to promote and enhance my grenddaughter's spatial relationships and problem solving skills.
