I purchased this toy for my one-year-old daughter. She enjoys turning the handles and making the gears spin and removing the gears to clap them together like cymbals (probably not what Melissa & Doug had in mind, but entertaining nonetheless). As she grows, I can see her using this toy to stack by placing the gears on their respective pegs. This will also be a great toy for her to learn matching and colors because the gears and pegs have corresponding colors. Overall, this is a wonderful toy.
So cute!!
