I am usually happy with the quality of Melissa and Doug items, although this furniture set looked poorly made. There were scratches and glue marks. The door on the china cabinet does not stay closed and another door also pops open. (Note from Fat Brain Toys: We all prefer furniture that is homey, not homely. A replacement set was promptly sent to our customer.)

Melissa and Doug's Dining Room Set is terrific for your Victorian dollhouse. The furniture feels solid, is well made, and a great price! I have priced out doll house furniture at a local miniatures store. I received a whole set for what one piece would cost me at the store! I am very pleased!

Good quality. I expected the dollhouse furniture to look cheap, but this Melissa and Doug dollhouse furniture exceeded my expectations.

We have just started to collect miniature dollhouse furniture. We are extremely pleased with the price as well as the quality of Melissa & Doug Victorian Dollhouse collection pieces. The chairs are even covered in red velveteen!
