The Medium Brushes have easy-grasp handles, natural bristle brush, and easy-clean handles. They store in a plastic pouch. The Poster Paints are red, yellow, blue and green paint in 8 ounce flip-top, easy-squeeze bottles. They stand 6.25 inches tall. They are washable off skin but may stain cloth. The Paint Cups are dishwasher-safe cups that feature brush holders and snap-on storage lids. They have colored lids in red, yellow, blue and green. The Eraser is made of 100% felt with solid wood handle. The eraser's dimensions are 5 x 2 x 1 inch. The Chalk is colorful, chunky, triangular chalk sticks that are easy to hold and won't roll away. The Paper Roll is 18 inches by 75 feet.

Although I did purchase the companion set as a Xmas gift, it is not the first one I have purchased. I bought one last Xmas for my 4 year old grandson, along with an easel. He has gotten so much use out of both. The paints are about empty, that is why I am replenishing them this Xmas. They have been the best "sitters", so Mom can get work done. The paint is also a great "clean-up". I'm sure I will be purchasing more in the future.

Art supplies for easel

It is a good mix of supplies that come with the easel as a gift I had to wrap for 'grandma'. It saved me a trip to the store, but there are many more items you can get at a store.

This is a good starter kit for my daughters easel. I know she is going to love it. I only wish there were more dry erase markers because the kit only comes with one.

Information about Easel Companion Set

Each component of the easel set is very functional for my 3 year old's skill level--the chalk is triangular, the paint cups are no-spill, and the dry erase marker's cap clicks on without too much effort. I did separately purchase the paint brushes with big, round handles, since this set came with the small ones, but she seems to like both kinds equally. I would also recommend purchasing (or making) a smock and spill mat to put underneath the easel.
