I was so happy to find that I didn't have to put it together myself.
My three year old nephew was thrilled with it and plays with it every day. I wish that it came with more accessories, i.e., kings, queens, knights, horses, villagers, etc.

Setting: Home
We were thrilled to find a great quality castle that didn't have skulls or other dark, dungeony features to it. This will be a gift for our 2 & 3-year-old sons, and we can't wait to see their faces light up!
Imagination stimulation, versatile

We were looking for a castle that would integrate with many things, be durable and allow for imaginative play..not with lights, sounds etc. This one fits the bill beatifully and is of the high quality that we have seen with Melissa and Doug products.
Great Castle

This is a great toy --and great for parents, because there is no assembly required (especially after the last toy we bought required 2 adults 3 hours to put together!). Very well-made and this vendor offered a great price compared to stores and other on-line retailers.

We were really pleased (as was our son) when we opened this castle, for his 4th birthday gift. We love the wood, natural look, and intricate paintings....it looks nice displayed on his dresser (which is a good thing...b/c it's large and we don't have much space for it elsewhere). Can foresee many years of creative play for him and for our daughter who is almost two. Have already had dragons befriending knights, to fight off enemies in the dark, misty forest (couch) beyond. Playmobile-sized figures work well with this castle.
