This is a nice "starter" piano for a small child interested in learning to play and it is a big hit with the kids. Overall craftmanship is excellent. However, I gave it four-stars as I'm not particularly fond of the sound it produces; and was a little disappointed in the amount of songs offered in the song book.

I was a little disappointed with the note strip on the piano. It has two little pieces of tape at each end. It was the first thing that my daughter ripped off. I would think that a Melissa and Doug product would have the notes of the piano engraved or somehow permanently written on them knowing how much babies like to touch and pull on paper. Some of the piano notes sometimes stick when you push down on them. The sound is OK. I was looking for more of a piano sound, but the sound is better than the plastic light up toy pianos that I have seen. The size is perfect for my 9 month old. It is sturdy enough for her to pull up on to a standing position as long as the piano is against the wall or couch. I like the song book.

This is a gift for my grandson so he has not played with it yet, but it looks very attractive and age-appropriate.

My 1 year old daughter loves this piano! She plays along with her daddy as he plays his guitar! It is perfect size! Doesn't take up to much room and fits her just right!

The Play and Learn Piano is as described although we haven't put it to use just yet. The easel is exactly what I wanted and my son seems to like his new toys so far.
