I was looking for interlocking puzzles with a small number of pieces, as my son has mastered single piece puzzles. These are amazing. As any boy loves his vehicles, he loves putting together the bus, train, fire truck, and race car. After only a week, he is recognizing what piece should be sorted for each vehicle. Simply amazing!

So far, so good. I got a similar puzzle from the same maker a while back and my son loved it! This is a Christmas gift so he hasn't played with it yet, but if it is anything like the last one, it will be well used.

Great puzzles for little ones. My three-year-old has mastered them but still loves to put them together. He is enthralled with the vehicles they depict. They are overall well-made, but a couple have chipped some of the thin wood off the back and one lost a bit of the picture from the front.
High Quality Puzzles - Portable Too

My toddler already had a similar puzzles in a box set, so I knew he would love these vehicle puzzles. My son is two-and-a-half and enjoys putting puzzles together, but most of the 12-piece puzzles handed down from his sister weren't sturdy enough to withstand his rough handling. He also got frustrated when other pieces were so easily dislodged when he tried to connect a new piece. I found that the wooden "Melissa & Doug" brand puzzles are chunky and the pieces stay together even when he accidentally "bumps" them. Not to mention all the fun colors and patterns available! One added bonus with the "puzzles in a box" sets - they're easily portable, so we can just toss the box in the van for a trip to Grandma's or a family vacation (no worrying about the pieces getting lost or the box being crushed in luggage).
