I like the fact that there is enough overlap with the pieces that my 3 year old can figure out the pattern. Some puzzles have dead pieces that are hard to figure out where they go, but this puzzle flows very well.

My 3 year old LOVES puzzles. We already have some of the other wooden Melissa and Doug puzzles so I knew he would like this one. It is made well. We have had no problems with it. I would recommend having an adult take the puzzle apart the first time as the pieces are stiff and an anxious child could possibly chip the sticker/paint on the pieces.
