My 3-year-old daughter is into the Melissa and Doug wooden cookware, but this sushi set is hard to find in stores. I was pleased to find it online and bought 2 as gifts. The only cautionary note I have is that the "seaweed" strip on the tamago is made of fabric and velcro, and kids have to be careful not to be too rough with it. If your family loves Japanese food, this is definitely a fun addition to play time!

Bought this for my 3yo neice's bday for her play kitchen. She loved it, and so did her parents. I plan to purchase one for myself to keep on my coffee table, if I can get it away from my teenager!

I love the set. It is so adorable! My neice loves it too! She loves playing with play food and making plates up for everyone. The sushi set is really fun for her because the rolls velcrow together and she can cut them with the slicer the comes with the set. It was really cute.

My daughter loves sushi and was really excited to receive her "sushi puzzle" in the mail. The set includes a nice variety of recognizable ingredients. The velcro chopsticks attack to most of the pieces, but her real favorite is the knife which actually sounds like chopping when she slices the pieces apart. The toys seem well-made and should last for some time. Having a wooden tray for all the pieces makes it easier for her to store.
The only two reasons I gave this product 4 stars instead of 5 were for the nori wraps and the ginger slices. The nori wraps, which are ribbons with velcro, looked very nice at first, but the velcro end pulled at the ribbon with use. The ginger slices are pieces of pink felt. I'm not sure what could have been used instead, but the felt tends to get lost and sticks to the other pieces (may be intentional).
Another great product by Melissa and Doug. I highly recommend.
