Initially I saw this toy and thought it was absolutely adorable. I had to buy it. In my mind I was really buying it for me, but told myself it was for the boys. As soon as I received it, my 2 and 6 year old fell in love with it. It comes in a cute little bento box. They loved making the chopping sound while cutting up the roll. I like the fact that this toy is made out of wood. Everything I have ever gotten through Melissa and Doug has lasted.

It was sooo cute! The food looked so real and my grandkids could'nt wait to use it. I like to but wooden toys from Melissa and Doug they hold up very well and can be passed down from generation to generation.

I gave this as a gift to my friend's three year old. She loved it! What you can't easily see from the pictures is that everything comes apart and can be put back together with velcro --even the 'seaweed' strips holding the fish on the rice blocks. The chopsticks have velcro tips too. My friend called me this week to find out where I bought the item -- she wants to buy one to give as a gift.
