Build logic skills, one story at a time, one clue at a time! Match characters to characteristics, actions to adverbs, and logical leaps to your students' learning. Each Grid Perplexors puzzle starts with a story that challenges the reader to figure out who, what, where and when details using a list of clues. Each clue is a puzzle in itself, offering as much information about what's not true as what is. Through the process of elimination, plus handy pre-printed grids for organizing deductions, students will build their ability to think through complex problems and integrate logic into other disciplines. Level C is recommended for Grades 5 and 6.

Setting: Classroom
I use the Grid, Math, and Regular Perplexors in my classroom when I teach logical problem solving. I wish the names of things started with different first letters. Some of the stories get the kids to giggle. The Grid Perplexors are a nice transition to actual SAT or LSAT problem solving. The students can create their own grids for logic problems. If they were dry erase, I could use them with multiple kids.

This is an excellent tool to use for team building activities in the middle school, as well as a way to get students to read carefully for information in a fun way. My 8th grade students love Perplexors.
