Looks great; doesn't work so well

The helicopter is pretty cool, but the rotors seem to be missing a part since we can't control the helicopter to even gently lift it off the ground. I thought it my be my 9-year old's coordination, but I tried about 50 times and all the toy did was scoot sideways across the ground. Pretty frustrating to say the least. This should be a better constructed toy!
