The toy is fun. To get a full "erector" experience, it is best combined with a bigger parts set.

I bought this set for my 5 year old daughter who loves to build stuff. She loves playing with police stuff. You can only build two items at a time. It would be better if you could build all the vehicles at once and play with them all together.

My 5 year old son loves it! He had fun making the intended machines plus creating his own! It has great instructions and is a classic toy.
