You know how a children's parachute will be used?
Hang on there - maybe you didn’t consider…
Lift up the parachute and run under before it falls
Bounce balls on top like popcorn
Fling it into the air and watch it drift down
Run underneath it and watch the colors rain down around you
Throw a few stuffed animals in the center and bounce them around
Put a baby underneath the parachute in the middle and pull it gently up and down for a game of peek-a-boo; baby finds it a hoot and so does everyone else
Achieve refreshing shade by draping over a piece of string strung between trees
Pile leaves (or snowballs) on the parachute and then toss them all over
Play tag while the parachute is periodically raised and lowered
Drape the parachute over a sunny window and give a room a fanciful glow
Spread it out as a picnic blanket
Place small balls in the middle and then launch them all into the air at once
Pull a child who is seated on top all around the house
Catapult teddy bears using the parachute, up into the air and through a hula hoop
Make it go up and down with other kids
Play London Bridges, lowering the parachute over kids who are weaving in and out
Give your snow fortress an update
See how long you can keep a ball bouncing on it
See how high you can throw & catch a ball in the parachute
Make a fort to hide in
Raise and lower it over children who are lying on their backs underneath & make them scream with laughter
Drape the parachute over the table and then play under it
Lift it up high, lower it behind your backs & sit on the inside edges to make a giant mushroom
Take a picture of your kids playing with the parachute for a memory that will always make you smile

As one of the top online toy retailers, we have access to unprecendented quantities of product review data. One of the key ways that we use this data is by associating our products to the specific ages and genders of the kids who are playing with them. Whereas most retailers must rely upon manufacturer suggested ages (i.e. 3+), we take actual customer usage and share it with you here so that you can choose the perfect toy or game.
But how does this help me? You can use these graphs as a general measure of it's appropriateness for a given age and gender. While this information is generally accurate, it should not be used as an absolute answer. For instance, many dinosaur toys are purchased for boys, however, that doesn't mean that it's inappropriate for a girl who happens to like dinosaurs.
NOTE: The orange color in the charts above indicate ages that are LESS than the manufacturer suggested age. Please purchase at your discretion if your child is younger than 3 years of age.

"Our family holds it up and our son stands underneath. When it flows down, it drapes over him lightly and it helps with his sensory awareness. Since it is so bright, the colors intrigue him. He wants to touch it and even use it as a cape to run with. It is a little to big for that so we have to help him so he doesn't trip. He has learned colors by identifying them on the parachute as well as matching the colors and counting!"
Parachute a big hit
Posted 4/23/2014 by Donald E Lindsay
We gave the parachute to our grandson on his 4th birthday right after his Saturday morning soccer game. Several teammates were present, and they immediately grabbed the handles and began waving it up and down. Then they put small toys in the center and tossed them in the parachute. The laughter was continuous, their imaginations were at work. We prefer children's gifts that don't involve screens or batteries, and the Parachute was a home run.
