So neat, we can't keep quiet! An art project new to kids- completely fresh, and creates one WOW of a finished project.
4 unique numbered Mandala patterns, every one intriguing and amazingly detailed. 12 eye-popping colors of sand. You're all set for one astonishing art project!
1. First, peel away numbers on mandala pattern, for example -all 2's.
(Underneath is sticky glue - so you don't need any. Clever, my friend, clever.)
2. Set your Mandala pattern inside the well-designed box.
3. Shake one color of sand over the top of the mandala pattern.
4. Remove your mandala pattern from the box.
5. Pour back excess sand into vial (using genius hole in side of box -NO MESS!)
6. The repeat the whole process above for the next color.
7. Keep going until your mandala is complete!
Tweens and teen have already drawn and painted, cut and pasted.
They're open to a creative challenge, only if it passes the cool test.

History of the Mandala:
Mandalas are Hindu and Buddhist pieces of art made of sand to aid in meditation.

Great product-could have used instructions

I purchased this for my 3 year old granddaughter after seeing a Mandala exhibition at the Carlos Museum in Atlanta. She loved the exhibit and I wanted to encourage her interest. She can use this product, with help from me and she is patient and inspired by what she is creating. It took me some time to figure out how it worked. It's quite ingenuous with the little tool used to peel off the exact part of the picture where you place the sand with another little shovel. And when you shake the loose sand from the picture into the box, there's a hole in one corner of the box where you can shake down the sand back into it's container. I was concerned about it being really messy and we managed to contain most of the sand that we used.

More of a winter activity for an active boy, but he is quite artistic with it. He will use it more when he is indoors.

When he puts down the baseball, he'll love it! Suitable for creating when you're indoors or out, the Mandala kit is active creativity that busy kids love!
