Penelope's Birth: When Shelagh Herzog was a little girl growing up in Austin, Texas her grandmother hand-crafted a crocheted carry-along toy using yarn, an empty margarine container and a tiny baby doll. Years later, while cleaning out the attic, Shelagh came across the doll. Remembering how much she loved it, she had the idea of making a modern high-end version of the doll.
