The Playmobil 123 products are perfect for small hands and curious minds. We own a number of sets for my 16 mo old daughter, and she loves manipulating the pieces, making animal noises, and letting the characters "talk" to each other in social situations. This is a popular first birthday gift for us to give to her friends, too.
Playmobil toys are safe, sturdy, easy to clean, and fun. Highly recommended!

This toy is great - the pieces are large enough to not pose a choking hazard (nor do they come apart or have little pieces that can come off). There is a good variety of zoo animals that allows my son to identify them. He really loves setting up the zoo scene. The only reason I am not giving this the highest rating is that the gate doesn't appear to connect. I wish it did so that the gate pieces didn't fall over. Other than that, it's a great product. We have other Playmobil toys that go along with this and he loves all of them. I definitely recommend these for children 1+ years.

Purchased this toy for our 16 month old grandson. Size of pieces are perfect for his little hands. He seems to love the colors of the animals. Since he is at the local zoo with his parents and grandparents frequently, he can identify with the giraffe, zebra and elephant easily. I would highly recommend this toy!

Usually I don't buy toys made out of plastic. Playmobils are an exception because they don't contain any BPA and are so strong and well made.

Preferred over FP Little People

My son got some Fisher Price Little People for his birthday and plays with them every day UNTIL I gave him his first Playmobil set. Now the FP stuff is just gathering dust. The colors and quality of Playmobil are far superior than the FP. Kid tested and mother approved! :)
