I can't review this item as yet, since it was sent to a grandchild as a Christmas gift. I wanted to order before the Christmas rush to insure that the hospital was available. Also, it is easier to spread Christmas over time because there are 8 grandchildren to buy for.

Our 6 year old granddaughter really wanted this toy and after she'd accompanied her sick little brother to the hospital for the past 2 years, it seemed ok to plunk down the money. Although it's cute, and the tiny pieces seem charmingly playable, I feel disappointed by all that plastic. It took many hours to assemble but is still not all that sturdy. The little tubes and telephone and stethoscope seem chintzy. This set does not include several of the more appealing pieces such as the wheel chair and helicopter. Paint up a box, buy some pieces, and let a kid have a ball.
