This product is much messier than it seems like it would be. My kids were covered with sticky globs of these things. The color really stuck too! I expected this to be an alternative to building toys. It's really an alternative to much messier arts and crafts type activities. If you're looking for a toy that doesn't require newspaper drop-cloths, smocks, and lots of handwashing, this definitely isn't the toy for you. Frankly, my kids were even a little put off by how hard these things are to play with, and they haven't gone back to it since the first time.
