Uglies are neither superheros nor stuffed animals. Each has their face hand-sewn which gives them all a slightly different look.

My daughter seems very indifferent to this doll. Nothing special about it. She's probably just too young to care though- as she's only 1 n a half. We got the Wippy so it looked like a bunny. She noticed but that's all.
