As one of the top online toy retailers, we have access to unprecendented quantities of product review data. One of the key ways that we use this data is by associating our products to the specific ages and genders of the kids who are playing with them. Whereas most retailers must rely upon manufacturer suggested ages (i.e. 3+), we take actual customer usage and share it with you here so that you can choose the perfect toy or game.
But how does this help me? You can use these graphs as a general measure of it's appropriateness for a given age and gender. While this information is generally accurate, it should not be used as an absolute answer. For instance, many dinosaur toys are purchased for boys, however, that doesn't mean that it's inappropriate for a girl who happens to like dinosaurs.
NOTE: The orange color in the charts above indicate ages that are LESS than the manufacturer suggested age. Please purchase at your discretion if your child is younger than 3 years of age.

"My son just turned 7 but functions at about an 8 month old level. Until 3 weeks ago he very rarely moved his legs. His physical therapist put him on a scooter board and taught him how to use his legs to move it. He actually DID! My son has multiple things working against him so it has always been difficult to figure out what would be a good birthday/Christmas gift. When I found this I knew it was PERFECT! I talked to his P.T. and asked if she felt he would be able to use it and she loved it too! He's been resistant to use his legs on it because it takes more balance than he currently has but his P.T. has assured me this will be great for him once he gains more confidence. The fact that my son is legally blind causes him to be more nervous in new situations but I have no doubt that once he's use to using this he'll love it because he loves the scooter board already. I take the cow to his therapies twice a week for them to use with him as well as using it at home. I cannot wait for him to get his first taste of freedom to move around on his own!"
I really love a kids toy that is not made out of plastic, so this little thing caught my eye. It's really solidly built! And she just loved the antenna springs. The small sized ladybug was the perfect size for this 12 month old who has just recently taken her first steps.
Product review of Wheely Bug

Really cute product, love the look and quality but my son is 14 months and is not really super interested in it. I'm sure as he gets older he will use it but he does not sit on it, he just likes to push it and play with the antennas. But still a great toy they can grow into
This is the second wheely bug I have purchased. It has been a year since I purchased the first and it still looks and plays like new. These are the type of toys that can be passed down to other generations which is rare these days! My daughter is almost 3 and loves and still uses her small and now her large Wheely bugs. They are so cute and fun to play with.
