A history and strategy game based on events of the 18th century!
Drainage of the peninsula of Zealand was a real endeavor as people made efforts to reclaim the land from the sea.
In this game, each player is a wealthy Dutch merchant investing in land reclamation at the gates of town. Players try to make proper use of the seeds and building timber, integrate windmills and wits to take land back from the sea.
In the beginning, hexagonal spaces cover the board with island disks - one one side of the disks are only mud and water. Flipping them during game play reveals fields for cabbage, tulips, rapeseed or a farm. With the help of windmills, players drain the land and turn mud and water to fertile soil.
The opposite half of the game board is covered by a double roundel. This represents the office of the guild master and is where the trading of the seeds and windmills takes place. The inner roundel shows the choice of seeds and mills available. The outer roundel shows how much money a player gets to spend in the best market places.
Easy to grasp rules make Seeland fun for the whole family! The double-sided game board includes four different playing options! First, a basic game with quick rules. Then, turn the board over for an advanced tactical version. Seeland is a beautiful game board with finest components.
