The diatonic scale allows more songs to be played and is the most popular of the Boomwhacker sets. They are ideal for solo fun, a family playing together, or an entire classroom. With virtually no learning curve to get started, it is one of the very few instruments which several people can have fun playing together and sound great at the same time. Basic Instructions included. Ages 3 to 103.

I was expecting more of a musical sound from these. If you hit them on the right object (my head seems the best), you do get different tones, but they are not very loud or musical sounding. My kids play with them, but mostly creative things not involving music. Not what I was hoping for. Probably better for a music class.

Was disappointed in how they sounded. They were not worth the price. My kids have been using them for marble towers!

These are great. My son loves that you can hit them on anything to make the notes or use rubber tipped mallots. The sound quality is really good.
