The kids love to play with them. They can play individually or as a group.

My kids love whacking the boomophone more than playing the piano because, as my son explained, "You get to hit it with the mallet instead of just using your fingers." The 6-year old and 8-year old can very easily follow the color coded song book.

I bought this product as gift for my 4-year-old nephews. Once we got it put together (which isn't very difficult) and started playing with it, it was a big hit with kids and grownups alike. One of the boys got very interested and wanted to play with it, too, even in a room filled with brand new toys. I think it will be a fun and sneakily educational toy that they will both enjoy.
