He loves it and it seems to be durable so far. It doesn't stack as shown, but he doesn't want to do that anyway. It is also has small pieces that the little ones want to put in their mouth (and it is made out of metal)

I was surprised by how small this was. The base is only 2 1/2" in diameter, and the butterflies are only 1 1/8" at their very widest wing-tips. The other issue is that it was impossible to re-create the pictured arrangement, or even come close. Only the base is a magnet, the butterflies themselves are not. As soon as one adds the 2nd level of butterflies, they all want to flop down. They are very thin, and magnetic attraction decreases the farther away they are from the base. One has to brace them by putting other butterflies at right angles. The end result, it is simply impossible to create anything as dramatic or visually pleasing as shown.

The color on the butterfly pieces are outstanding, but there are not enough pieces and each piece is too heavy.
