The colorful toobs are hand painted, authentic replicas neatly packed in a reusable acetate tube. The spinning world cap adds fun play value. I purchased the Rainforest Toob, along with many other toobs, to use in my kindergarten classroom. We were working in small habitat study groups and were interested in supporting the children to create representations of the habitats being studied. As the children are still young, we thought it ideal to use figurines, rather than ask them to create their own representations of the animals they had been studying. We first looked in many local toy stores and were frustrated that we could not find small sets of animals, sorted by habitats. The sets that we did find were not very realistic. We were thrilled when we found Fat Brain's large supply of just what we were looking for. When the toobs arrived, we were even more thrilled to see that the animals inside the toob were very realistic looking - matching those that the children had been studying. We love the assortment, as well as the quality of the product. The children love them too and are happily using the figurines to represent their knowledge. The children in the Rainforest group are sorting the animals by the levels of the forest in which the animals live. Thanks!
