The Car Design Studio by SmartLab is a crash course in car designing. This all-inclusive art kit puts young gearheads behind the wheel of their dream car! Kids will learn how to illustrate customized cars using a light table, colored pencils and acetate overlays printed with simple traceable outlines of car silhouettes, and 95 traceable "cling" accessory add-ons. I purchased this toy for my 6 year old son and he has had a great time creating the cars. I agree with some of the other reviews that the negative would have to be the light table. It shorted out after being used twice. However, I contacted FatBrain about the defect and they sent me a replacement immediately. I was so happy with the great service I received! The new light table seems to be working fine so far. Overall, I would recommend the Car Design Studio.

We gave this to our 9 year old son, who really likes it. I like the compact design and ease of use. The only minor negative is that the light table goes through batteries pretty quickly. However, the light table is not absolutely necessary to use the product. Overall, a great toy that I would recommend to anyone.
