The Bright Bunny is one adorable and hungry bunny!

Bunnies love carrots, right? Bright Bunny loves carrots so much that when you feed him a carrot, his stomach lights up, (not his heart, because that's just crazy!) What a cute and fun way to learn about basic electronics. This is a great kit to use with your Beginner Tool Kit made by SparkFun.

The Bright Bunny is an electronics kit that can be put together in not too much time and with not too much electrical know-how. Along the way, it teaches basic lessons about electronics.

The inside of the Bright Bunny is so simple: a reed switch, a coin-cell battery, a resistor and an LED in series. The magnet in the carrot closes the reed switch and lights the LED. This is a classic circuit: a supply, a switch and a load. By wrapping them in some felt and some fluff they suddenly become accessible to kids. You do a little soldering, a little sewing and in the end you've learned a lot. Besides that, it's just cute!

The kit comes with everything you need to make your own Bright Bunny including some extra felt so that you can customize your bunny. This kit does include some small parts, it's a great project for adults and children 5 and up, but if you've got a particularly young child, be sure to do it with them. Be sure you have the tools needed, also found in the Tool Kit by SparkFun.
