As one of the top online toy retailers, we have access to unprecendented quantities of product review data. One of the key ways that we use this data is by associating our products to the specific ages and genders of the kids who are playing with them. Whereas most retailers must rely upon manufacturer suggested ages (i.e. 3+), we take actual customer usage and share it with you here so that you can choose the perfect toy or game.
But how does this help me? You can use these graphs as a general measure of it's appropriateness for a given age and gender. While this information is generally accurate, it should not be used as an absolute answer. For instance, many dinosaur toys are purchased for boys, however, that doesn't mean that it's inappropriate for a girl who happens to like dinosaurs.
NOTE: The orange color in the charts above indicate ages that are LESS than the manufacturer suggested age. Please purchase at your discretion if your child is younger than 3 years of age.

"It was great for problem solving. He had to figure out how to push with his legs and manipulate his body for balance. He also talked about it while riding on it (he's a new 2 year old) so it was great for language development. "

I was a bit disappointed by how scratched up the plastic was by the handle bars - almost appeared as if it had been returned by another party. Doesn't hurt how it works, or how much he enjoys it, but it ages it. The recipient of this toy just turned one and both legs don't quite touch the floor when it's upright, but he loves it and has fun with his dad pushing him around the room. His dad has a small motorcycle "50" that is also red and he just loves being just like his dad.

My two year old loves this!

My two year old son is average height for his age and could easily reach the ground and make this motorcycle move. I like the fact that it teaches them how to keep balance without falling over. Hopefully that helps prepare him to ride a bicycle someday.

The handle grips were difficult to put on the handles. A tip: we applied Vaseline to the handle and the grip slid on fairly easily.
This is for my grandson, so he's played with it while he visited. He seemed to really enjoy it. The balance it requires to ride, while minimal, it good for development. He's only 2 and 1/2, so the stability of it is good.
