This product was a BIG disappointment! I ordered this for my son's 9th Glow-in-the-dark birthday party, choosing this over many other beach balls. This ball is to light up on contact. First, the beach ball is made from a papery feeling plastic that makes you afraid if you hit it it will break. It is difficult to inflate and won't stay inflated for very long. The "contact" portion is a hard red lump of something that "sometimes" worked. I left it sitting on the table and within a few hours it was completely flat. The kids hit it about three times and threw it down mad. I am not sure what age group this would be considered appropriate for considering that you would think 8-10 year olds would have enjoyed it.

I gave the light up beach ball to my 10 year old girl for her birthday! We have a pool and she loves to swim at night. This toy is perfect for that!!!!
