A "Mech-nificent" Introduction to Mechanical Physics!
Gears, Wheels, Pulleys, Levers, Centripetal Forces & More! Build 12 fantastic models & conduct experiments you'll remember! A science kit to teach you all about forces and simple machines.
Each model demonstrates a fundamental idea in mechanical physics. For example, you can build a balanced scale to learn about lever arms, a freight elevator to learn about pulleys, a bicycle to learn about wheels, a motion picture machine to learn about centripetal and centrifugal forces, and a transmission to learn about gears.
Physics Discovery is a smaller, introductory companion to Physics Workshop kit. It has different building projects and experiments, but parts that are compatible with those in the Physics Workshop and Physics Solar Workshop.

Product has everything I was looking for; Gears, wheels, pulleys and the like. The pieces fit together well and small fingers have no problems.
Quality, But Needed More Depth

I used this set for my 8th grade son for homeschooling. It was to review the physics he had already learned. The product material was overall excellent quality. We were disappointed that it was not challenging to him. I strongly suggest some written instructions. The clear pictures helped, but written instructions would have taken away frustrations. The science projects were helpful to go over for reviewing physics, but I would have preferred some questions and further suggested research on the matter. I feel younger grades would benefit more from this.
