I'm an early Christmas shopper so we haven't actually opened the train set yet. I'm very excited to see the look on my son's face when we do. It looks like a really high quality product and the packaging is wonderful. We are really interested in toys that help our son use his imagination without a lot of lights or jingles and this looks perfect.

The figure eight set was a great way to extend a small existing collection of rails and trains, and add new engines, trees, and a crane, as well as the possibility to have more complicated track layouts.

The toy would be great. Unfortunately, there was one too many of one type of track, and not enough of the other, so that it was impossible to make the figure 8. I am returning the defective product.

The magnets are strong, so the train holds together well. The letter cars aren't quite as big as I had pictured; but never the less, it's a cute train set.
