Designed by famous Princeton mathematician John Horton Conway, this puzzle bristles with strategic thinking. Spill the nine pieces out, then put them back into the blue box. Solution is an elegant spiral geometry, which is beautiful as well as challenging.
As one of the top online toy retailers, we have access to unprecendented quantities of product review data. One of the key ways that we use this data is by associating our products to the specific ages and genders of the kids who are playing with them. Whereas most retailers must rely upon manufacturer suggested ages (i.e. 3+), we take actual customer usage and share it with you here so that you can choose the perfect toy or game.
But how does this help me? You can use these graphs as a general measure of it's appropriateness for a given age and gender. While this information is generally accurate, it should not be used as an absolute answer. For instance, many dinosaur toys are purchased for boys, however, that doesn't mean that it's inappropriate for a girl who happens to like dinosaurs.
NOTE: The orange color in the charts above indicate ages that are LESS than the manufacturer suggested age. Please purchase at your discretion if your child is younger than 8 years of age.

Someone always has this in their hands. My 60 year old father, my children ages 9, 7, 6, and 4, and my husband . . . Almost everyone can solve it now, but they have moved on to timing themselves to see who can do it fastest.

My students get stumped at this and stay at it for long periods of time trying to figure it out. They know that it's "simple" but fitting 2x2 pieces into an odd numbered cube defies their expectations.
I love this toy! It's very Fun because it puts yur brain in action to think where each little blocks fit perfectly in the box. There's only one way! And it's very exciting when yu share with yur friends And let them try it! So most definitely get this TOY! It's absolutely FUNNNN!!!!!

The whole famiy passes it around. When people come in, they always want to try to solve it as well. It's a fun thing to leave out on a coffee table. It would be nice if it had an extra case to hold the pieces when it is not solved. Overall good fun for low cost.
