From his youth, Thierry Denoual made up games. Upon meeting Julien Mayot, and discovering a mutual love of strategic games, the pair embarked toward their dream destination of creating a company built to entice others to share good times with family and friends around a great game. The result - in 2001, Thierry Denoual and Julien Mayot initiated "Blue Orange Games- Hot Games for a Cool Planet." (The name Blue Orange was inspired by a poem titled "The Earth is Blue like an Orange" by the French poet, Paul Eluard.)
They test marketed their first game, Gobblet, on people in coffee shops and on friends and family members of all ages. It was a universal hit, quickly becoming a huge success in the specialty toy market; Gobblet has won over 18 awards from prestigious associations.
Launching new products each year, Blue Orange Games has created 20+ different games for kids and adults.
