Pentago
Pentago is a new, fast, fun strategy board-game from Sweden that is both simple and sophisticated. It's a five-in-a-row game with glass-marbles on a game-board that consists of four twistable wooden game-blocks, each with nine holes. The mind-twisting part is that you will twist one of the four game blocks as part of your move. The game-board constantly changes for a challenging game experience. While it sounds simple enough, Pentago has won numerous awards, including Game of the Year in Sweden, France and Finland. Pentago has also won several awards in the USA, including the much coveted Mensa Mind Games award. Pentago was brought to the USA by two Swedish US transplants, Tony Mag and Mathias Ringstrom. Neither has any experience in the Toy Industry but just designed the US version of the game and went to the NY Toy Fair, knowing no one. 10 months later, Pentago has shipped to over 300 of the best Toy and Game stores in the US, covering nearly every state. Pentago's initial charm is its simplicity in learning and playing, making it suitable for young children or busy people. Its lasting appeal is that is very difficult and challenging to master Pentago, making it suitable for even the most logic minded adults. Pentago is also designed to be very fashionable and attractive, as a permanent piece on any living room, dining or game table.
