Reused Wood: Animals Reused Wood? Forward-thinking, responsible companies are finding alternatives to wasting natural fallen trees. Potentially the most fun of all uses for fallen trees is making new toys (or a tree fort of some sort).
Reused Wood By Plan Toys:
The chosen raw material of Plan Toys is rubber wood (Hevea Brasiliensis) from trees that have ceased yielding latex. After 25 years, the trees no longer provide latex and the farmers need to fell them in order to replenish. Traditionally, these trees were burned and turned into charcoal, providing little subsequent value both economically and ecologically. Using "preservative-free" rubber wood for toys maintains a more ecological balance.
