Marble Lamp

We bought this toy for our daughter, she's 12... It looked so neat & what made it more interesting for us is how it was interactive & she had to grow the jelly marbles instead of just plugging in a lamp. I found Fat Brain Toys online & thought how great was this site! Unfortunately we were highly disappointed. We received the gift perfectly in tact in the box & I immediately wrapped it after looking the lamp over to ensure all ok, or so I thought, we of course didn't put it together that would defeat the purpose of her doing it. Well she cried after growing the marbles, putting the batteries in & then turning it on to discover the fan wouldn't work & the light wouldn't light up. Her father then took it apart to try to do a quick fix to save the day & saw how poorly put together it was & managed to do a rig with wires to work best as possible...

Don't expect much

The marble lamp seemed like a fun accessory on my sons bedside table, and he picked it out himself. We followed the directions on the box. However, the item is incredibly cheaply made. Once we removed the top to fill the lamp, we noticed the cheap plastic was cracked. Per the directions, we only placed a handful of the "marbles" in the lamp along with the water and reserved the rest of them as replacements. There are maybe 6-7 marbles in the lamp at this time. The idea is that the small motor will push air through the water filled chamber and keep the marbles floating through the water. That isn't happening. The air escape opening is too small and the motor is too weak. Of we don't tilt the lamp every couple of minutes, the marbles just sink to the bottom.
Expect top quality assistance from our customer care team. We contacted our customer with a replacement item!
