As one of the top online toy retailers, we have access to unprecendented quantities of product review data. One of the key ways that we use this data is by associating our products to the specific ages and genders of the kids who are playing with them. Whereas most retailers must rely upon manufacturer suggested ages (i.e. 3+), we take actual customer usage and share it with you here so that you can choose the perfect toy or game.
But how does this help me? You can use these graphs as a general measure of it's appropriateness for a given age and gender. While this information is generally accurate, it should not be used as an absolute answer. For instance, many dinosaur toys are purchased for boys, however, that doesn't mean that it's inappropriate for a girl who happens to like dinosaurs.
NOTE: The orange color in the charts above indicate ages that are LESS than the manufacturer suggested age. Please purchase at your discretion if your child is younger than 6 years of age.

I purchased this product because I teach photography at a University and it makes sense to show students 'real' things instead of just photographs of them when it comes to teaching the history of photography. I thought this looked like a great product for the price, and it is! Now if I can just get it away from my family long enough to take it to school!
.Returned product as it was too difficult to see animation. Must have a light source ABOVE the toy to see anything. Too frustrating for a 6 year old even if fascinated with animation.
Product came with ripped cover and strips unwrapped. As this was to be a gift, it couldn't be accepted as it arrived
Awesome Product and Awesome company

This product is great for only less than $9.00! I purchased them for my fourth grade "Art of Animation" class to teach students a basic introduction to animation. I am so excited to have found them! They work great and have many different strips that animate. I also love the booklet that they come with as well as the fact that they come with strips that the kids can animate themselves.

I actually bought if for my adult son. When he was in grade school I remember he wrote an essay about early devices leading to the invention of an actual film projecter. One of them was a zoetrope, and he actually built one. That staryed an lifelong love of art and film with him, and since he will be graduating from Pasadena Center for Art and Design soon, I wanted to remind him of those early days.
