As one of the top online toy retailers, we have access to unprecendented quantities of product review data. One of the key ways that we use this data is by associating our products to the specific ages and genders of the kids who are playing with them. Whereas most retailers must rely upon manufacturer suggested ages (i.e. 3+), we take actual customer usage and share it with you here so that you can choose the perfect toy or game.
But how does this help me? You can use these graphs as a general measure of it's appropriateness for a given age and gender. While this information is generally accurate, it should not be used as an absolute answer. For instance, many dinosaur toys are purchased for boys, however, that doesn't mean that it's inappropriate for a girl who happens to like dinosaurs.
NOTE: The orange color in the charts above indicate ages that are LESS than the manufacturer suggested age. Please purchase at your discretion if your child is younger than 3 years of age.
Identified Special Needs Challenges: Down Syndrome
"Great activity for my 5 year old grandson who has Down syndrome. I like that you can vary the speed. It also makes a funny noise if you hit the part that you have to jump over. All my grandkids thought it was fun. "
Kidoozie - Super Skipper

I purchased this for my 3 year old granddaughter for Christmas. Everybody took a turn with it (even the adults!) My grandchildren from 10 down to 2 had a wonderful time playing with it and trying out the different speeds and levels. So far, my daughter has said that it is quite durable and that she also loves how easily it comes apart for storage when it's time to clean up. The durability is a big plus as my granddaughter's 2 brothers (aged 8 and 10) love playing with it as well. The only thing that I wasn't completely satisfied with was the fact that it said it played "music." I was thinking more along the lines of nursery rhymes or jump rope type music. What it actually plays is more like noise and sounds, but the children don't seem to mind at all...in fact, they probably love it and it's just grandma who thinks of it as noise :)
The 3 year old girl it was gift for loved it! She eventually took it apart and reassembled it (with help) for the configuration she wanted the more she used it. She's a very active girl and the first impression was incredibly good as she used it a ton! She could turn it on herself and it was great when the toy stopped when it encountered her feet (then she would jump). The toy appears to be very durable as it was dropped multiple times and still worked.
