Your desire to do anything else comes to a screeching halt when you attempt to unsnarl the traffic challenges in Rush Hour and make your "full speed ahead" escape.

Sliding colorful blocks-you rev cars & trucks forward, backward. Shifting the vehicle positions and weakening the gridlock...until Phheww! Freedom on the open road! ( and IF you're in a brain jam...hopelessly halted, there will be no citing for traffic violations - just dump out the pieces and start again!)
Better than a brain teaser, Rush Hour is a premier sliding block puzzle designed to challenge your sequential thinking skills. Start simple with Level 1 puzzles and by the time you hit Level 4, you'll be hitting the high road with handling expertise in problem solving.
Paving the way for whole family fun, this set includes 40 challenge cards from Beginner to Expert (Rush Hour is designed to challenge all skill levels.) 16 Cars, 1 Grid Tray for play with a neat pull-out tray for easy storage.
The genius who invented the game is Nob Yoshigahara, a world-renowned inventor of puzzles. Now, Nob may have dealt with his share of "What was that name again?", but believe us...people recognize his best selling games. Rush Hour is such a run-away favorite it's now available in Rush Hour Jr., Railroad, and Safari Editions.
Keep Rush Hour tucked under your coffee table and you'll keep a freeway of fun at everyone's fingertips.

As one of the top online toy retailers, we have access to unprecendented quantities of product review data. One of the key ways that we use this data is by associating our products to the specific ages and genders of the kids who are playing with them. Whereas most retailers must rely upon manufacturer suggested ages (i.e. 3+), we take actual customer usage and share it with you here so that you can choose the perfect toy or game.
But how does this help me? You can use these graphs as a general measure of it's appropriateness for a given age and gender. While this information is generally accurate, it should not be used as an absolute answer. For instance, many dinosaur toys are purchased for boys, however, that doesn't mean that it's inappropriate for a girl who happens to like dinosaurs.
NOTE: The orange color in the charts above indicate ages that are LESS than the manufacturer suggested age. Please purchase at your discretion if your child is younger than 8 years of age.
Identified Special Needs Challenges: ADD/ADHD,
"My granddaughter was able to use some of the easier routes and designs to reach a successful conclusion of the game. Some of them don't take too long so she was able to maintain attention with little frustration. She really enjoyed the game."
Identified Special Needs Challenges: ADD/ADHD
"Our younger children just love putting the cars in place without using the placement cards."
Identified Special Needs Challenges: Learning Disabilities
"The gift was for my daughter who is dyslexic. I think the fact that the cars are different colors aids her in solving and the puzzle is good in teaching logic."
Terrific Puzzle Game!

I bought this for my 7-year old grandson and he immediately began playing it, and one by one, the whole family participated in solving the puzzles. The toy is well made, compact (easy storage), and has a simple concept, although the solutions can be challenging. I think it's perfect, because it's an easy setup and can be taken along in the car on road trips. Very healthy, too, because it requires thought and strategy and is a good exercise for young minds. Great purchase!
